About the Role
This fee-earning position focuses on providing high-quality legal services to healthcare providers and professionals. The role involves managing a caseload, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the development of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Defending and advising on medical negligence claims and providing advisory services to healthcare entities and practitioners.
- Offering proactive and sector-specific advice to minimize risk and improve claims management.
- Acting as a trusted advisor, strengthening client relationships through ongoing support and guidance.
- Contributing to business development, networking, and profile-raising activities, including marketing, training, and knowledge sharing.
- Assisting in managing administrative tasks and supporting the day-to-day operations of the office.
- Collaborating with international colleagues to support cross-border opportunities and share expertise.
- Ensuring compliance with data security protocols when handling confidential information.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor in Ireland with the following attributes:
- Experience:
- Significant experience in the insurance litigation market.
- Essential: Expertise in medical negligence.
- Desirable: Experience at inquests and alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Skills:
- Strong technical legal ability with a commercial perspective.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Team-oriented and experienced in mentoring junior team members.
- Strong organizational skills with a pragmatic approach to claims handling.
