About the Role
DAC Recruitment is seeking to recruit a Senior Associate to join a highly regarded Employment Law Group within a leading law firm. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a team of skilled and experienced advisers in a collegiate and flexible environment, advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
- Providing guidance on a full range of HR-related legal queries, including absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievance processes, corporate immigration, complaints of bullying and harassment, restructuring and redundancies, restrictive covenants, mandatory retirement, and termination of employment.
- Advising on the conduct of investigations, including protected disclosures.
- Handling labour-related matters in corporate transactions.
- Representing clients in employment-related litigation before the Workplace Relations Commission, the Labour Court, and the civil courts, with opportunities for the Senior Associate to conduct their own advocacy if desired.
- Advising on transfer of undertakings.
- Preparing and delivering presentations and training to clients and colleagues on key employment law topics.
- Engaging proactively in business development activities.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 3+ years PQE gained in either Ireland or the UK.
- Strong experience in all aspects of contentious, advisory, and transactional employment law.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making.
- Capacity to multi-task and manage client needs efficiently.
- A genuine passion for business development.
- Keen interest in maintaining, developing, and sharing employment law knowledge.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude.
Education & Qualification
- The successful candidate must be a qualified solicitor in Ireland or England & Wales.
