DAC Recruitment is working with a leading Irish law firm to appoint a Senior Associate to its Corporate team. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced and ambitious corporate lawyer to join a specialist advisory practice focused on corporate reorganisations, company law, and corporate governance. The role offers excellent progression potential in a non-transactional setting that allows for a sustainable work-life balance — without sacrificing complexity or quality of work.
This is a highly regarded team advising a blue-chip client base of both international and domestic companies, including household names across the technology, pharmaceutical, and aviation sectors. The practice is growing and is now expanding from a team of five to six lawyers.
The Role:
You will join a team of experts advising clients on the design, planning, and implementation of corporate reorganisation projects, as well as advising on complex aspects of Irish company law and corporate governance. This is a client-facing, solution-driven role suited to a technically strong lawyer who enjoys working closely with high-calibre clients on strategic matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on the design and implementation of corporate restructuring projects, including corporate structuring needs, step plans, and legal implications.
- Interpreting plans prepared by external advisors and analysing legal risks and compliance with Irish company law.
- Leading on the implementation and project management of reorganisation steps, including preparation of legal step plans, document lists, and liaising with multi-disciplinary legal teams (particularly tax).
- Providing detailed company law advice on shareholder rights, board matters, company capital, financial assistance, and directors’ transactions.
- Advising clients on corporate governance matters and designing effective governance structures aligned with legal and commercial objectives.
Candidate Profile:
You will be a corporate lawyer with strong technical skills and commercial insight. You’ll enjoy operating in a high-trust, collaborative environment and be comfortable taking the lead on projects.
Key Requirements:
- 4+ years’ PQE in corporate law, ideally gained at a top or mid-tier law firm;
- Strong academic background and proven technical expertise in company law;
- Exceptional drafting and legal communication skills – able to advise clearly in plain English;
- Strong transaction and/or project management capabilities;
- High levels of diligence, curiosity, and a proactive, client-focused mindset;
- Comfortable using legal technology and legal project management tools;
- A genuine interest in building long-term client relationships and contributing to a growing, specialist team.
