Agronomist

Our Client is currently hiring for a Agronomist in Co. Meath, Ireland.

This is an exciting role for the right candidate who is looking for a full time permeant role.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain modern farm machinery including sprayers, fertilizer spreaders, combine harvesters, and one-pass cultivators.
• Application of herbicides and fertilizers according to agronomic standards and regulations.
• Walk through crops to assess their growth stages and overall health.
• Identify and diagnose cereal diseases and implement preventive measures and treatments as necessary.
• Collaborate with the agronomy team to provide insights on crop improvement practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of operations and report on crop performance and issues encountered.

Essential Qualifications

• Good knowledge of agronomy principles and practices.
• Proven experience in the operation of modern sprayers and fertilizer spreaders.
• Strong understanding of cereal diseases and treatments.
• Ability to identify crop development stages effectively.

Experience:

• Agronomy: 3 years (required)
• Farm Machinery: 3 years (required)
