Public, Regulatory & Investigations Associate Solicitor – Dublin (2 plus PQE)

A leading commercial law firm in Dublin is seeking a talented and ambitious Associate Solicitor to join its Public, Regulatory & Investigations team. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, pragmatic advice, and work on high-profile matters of significant public importance. This is an excellent opportunity to handle complex regulatory, administrative, and investigatory work for both public bodies and private sector clients.


The Role

You will work on a diverse caseload involving:

  • Advising on administrative and public law matters, including statutory interpretation, domestic and EU legislation, and information law (FOI, Access to Information on the Environment, data protection, and privacy).
  • Leading and assisting with administrative law litigation such as judicial reviews and statutory appeals, including liaising with and managing counsel.
  • Drafting legal opinions, pleadings, submissions, correspondence, consultation documents, and regulatory policies or guidance.
  • Supporting clients involved in statutory or regulatory investigations and public inquiries.
  • Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated, commercial solutions.
  • Building and managing client relationships while contributing to business development initiatives.

Candidate Profile

  • 4–5 years’ PQE in public, regulatory, litigation, or a closely related practice area.
  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and excellent drafting and communication abilities.
  • Proven track record managing multiple matters under pressure.
  • Client-focused mindset with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Experience advising or working within regulatory or public bodies is advantageous.
  • Experience in contentious litigation is essential.
