Knowledge Development Lawyer – IPT (Technology & Commercial Contracts)

We are proud to partner with a leading international law firm to recruit a Knowledge Development Lawyer for its Intellectual Property & Technology (IPT) Group, based in Dublin. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative team at the forefront of legal innovation, quality, and client service.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Technology & Sourcing (T&S) and Commercial Contracts (CC) sub-groups within the IPT Group. Working closely with the Head of Knowledge for IPT and the senior Knowledge Development Lawyers, this role is central to enhancing the quality, efficiency, and innovation of legal services delivered across the firm’s global platform.

You will also have the opportunity to support the firm’s AI Knowledge Lawyer on regulatory and contract law matters, helping shape legal responses to emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor legal and technological developments in contract and technology law, and analyse their impact.

Develop and maintain high-quality knowledge resources including precedents, practical guidance notes, and automated tools.

Produce cutting-edge thought leadership and client alerts in collaboration with lawyers and business development teams.

Support and deliver internal and client-facing training on key legal developments and trends.

Facilitate the capture and sharing of know-how through the firm’s central Knowledge Hub.

Act as a trusted advisor and “sounding board” for legal queries across the T&S and CC sub-groups.

Collaborate internationally with other Knowledge Lawyers, particularly in AI, data, and digital regulation.

Help develop innovative client-facing products and services that enhance the firm’s value proposition.

About You

Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE and a strong background in contract and technology law.

Experience in outsourcing, emerging technologies (including AI), and digital transformation.

Previous experience in private practice, in-house, or as a Professional Support/Knowledge Lawyer.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across jurisdictions.

Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Demonstrated experience developing training programmes and knowledge assets.

Passion for innovation and knowledge-sharing within the legal profession.
